We define our style as bright, airy, natural, romantic, effortless, and authentic; the perfect balance of photojournalism and editorial. We believe in creating images that capture the essence of a moment so that they feel both authentic and candid. We do this by finding the right light in the right location and then setting our couples in motion. We aim to photograph the feeling of what is unfolding in the scene rather than trying to always be technically perfect (although, we do that part equally as well)! We want our images to feel dynamic versus static and fun but not cheesy. Because we began as film photographers we still implement that simple approach even while using digital techniques which now allow us an even wider range of flexibility.

WEDDINGS
We are currently accepting commissions for 2023 and 2024. All wedding collections include up to ten hours of photography coverage, an online gallery, and a high-resolution download of all non-watermarked, developed images. Our collections page and our albums page will offer further details about our pricing and services.

OTHER COMMISSIONS
Commissions such as headshots, kid/family portraits, editorial, product, food, spaces, and corporate events are quoted on a per-project basis. We have a range of experience in these areas and take a few commissions each year depending on our availability.

EXPECT
Our goal, above everything else, is to serve our clients well. We want to be really excited about and proud of the images we create. However, even more than that, we want for you to be absolutely thrilled with your photos and feel that they represent you.
We put 110% of our hearts into all that we do and we have high expectations for ourselves to always do the very best work we can. You will receive a complete visual story of your wedding day through our imagery, from start to finish, in a beautifully and naturally captured way with consistent color, contrast and exposure.
You can expect us to be polite, professional and kind to not only you but all of your special guests. We represent you… it's not about us.
FAQs
When will I receive my photos?
Our guaranteed turn around time for wedding photos is 4-6 weeks, however, we typically deliver fully developed galleries within 3 weeks or less. You will receive your engagement session photos within 2-3 weeks.
How do I receive my photos?
All final, selected photos are uploaded to an online gallery and you will be able to download the original size *high-resolution, non-watermarked .jpeg photos for your own archival purposes. You can easily share this gallery with all of your friends and family. They will also be able to purchase prints and download *web-size images.
How do I print my photos?
The best place to print your photos is through our online gallery (we often run sales and special coupons). However, once downloaded, you may print them wherever you wish with our print-release. We cannot guarantee prints from any other print labs.
Do you have backup equipment?
Yes, we have always have backup cameras and lenses with us at all times throughout the day. We have additional lighting and will use it if needed when the lighting is not ideal at any point during your wedding day.
Who will be my photographer?
We, Matt and Stevi, will work together to photograph your wedding day. We typically only accept one wedding per weekend in order to give you and your wedding 100% of our energy and focus. Matt is the lead photographer and on occasion, because we have three children and balance our family life, we will have another associate shoot in Stevi’s place. This person is someone that fits perfectly with our aesthetic, demeanor, and feeling.
How many photos will I receive?
We do not have a set number of photos that we take on a wedding day but, rather, aim to capture a wide variety of images in order to tell the best story from our perspective. On average we deliver ~100 images per hour of coverage (~1,000 images for a 10 hour day).
Will you retouch my images?
Every image that you receive will be developed for consistent exposure, contrast and white balance including some light retouching if needed. We have a high standard for all of the images and aim to have every image “ready to print” in the gallery you receive. If there happens to be an image or two that you would like to have retouched further, we are happy to discuss and quote them on a per-image basis.
What will you wear at my wedding?
We will always ask what the attire is for your wedding whether it be black tie, cocktail, beach wedding, etc. We dress as if we were a guest and understand we are representing you, our client. Typically, Matt wears a classic black or navy suit and Stevi wears a black dress.
Are you a film photographer?
Although we started in film, we now use solely digital. We still photograph and develop our images to have some of that “film” feeling, however, we have much greater capability with digital. Another plus with digital is that we have two memory cards in each of our cameras so that means an instant backup! We can’t get that with film.
Do you have insurance?
Yes, we carry a business insurance policy and are happy to send a certificate of insurance to your venue upon request.
Will you scout my venue?
Yes, whether we have been to your venue before or not, we always scout our venues and any other photo locations we are using in advance. We typically do this the week of your wedding to see how the light will look at that specific time of day/year. We will also scout an alternate rain plan and discuss those options with you beforehand if needed.
What do we do in case of rain?
Rain is usually not a request from our clients so we will take time to plan for and scout the best alternate options. We will watch the weather closely the week of and day of the wedding and will communicate the backup options with you as needed. We love when our clients trust us so that we can go with the flow and get the best photos in the best light no matter where we are while still capturing the essence of the day, the joy of getting married, and embracing everything else along the way… even the rain!
How do I pick photo locations?
Every wedding is different and everyone has their own taste. We like to talk through the timeline and your preferences in order to suggest/choose locations that are organic for the day. Our goal is to keep things simple and efficient while still finding great light and backgrounds.
